Restaurant Delivery USA was created to provide Restaurant Delivery Services (RDS’s)
with products and resources that will help them become successful. Our mission is
to take what is currently a fragmented and inconsistent RDS Industry and help implement
efficient operations and profitable business practices in RDS’s from Coast to Coast,
and build a network that will define the future of our industry which will be represented
by owners that promote integrity and profitability through deliverability.
Over the past ten years, our owners (Mike & Tom) have not only helped other RDS’s
get off the ground, but they also owned and operated two of the most successful
RDS’s in the industry.
Owner/Founder Mike was first introduced to the RDS industry in 1995 when hired by
a Bank that took over the defunct franchise Takeout Taxi. At the time, Takeout Taxi
was the world’s largest Restaurant Delivery Service network with 48 locations that
produced $50 million in sales per year. Although $50 million in sales sounds impressive,
it was Mike’s job to figure out why the company had dropped down from $80 million
in sales to $50 million, and from 110 franchises to only 48. Shortly after leaving
Takeout Taxi, Mike started his own RDS that produced almost $2 million in sales
during its first year in business. After selling his RDS in a very lucrative deal,
Mike packaged his documents, resources, marketing and operational best practice
techniques and decided to share them with other RDS’s.
At about the same time that Mike was getting ready to sell his first RDS to a large
player in the Dot-com arena; Tom was attending University of Florida and starting
his own RDS out of his dorm room. Although Tom had only limited funds and resources,
he built his RDS up quickly by using pure hustle and his knack for building relationships
with restaurant partners, advertising partners and drivers. With Tom’s local market
nearly saturated resulting in 100’s of orders per day he was still looking for new
ways to increase sales and profits. While browsing the internet Tom came across
Mike’s site and decided to contact Mike to discuss operational ideas and the industry.
With a little help from Mike’s documents and procedures, Tom’s already successful
RDS soon became the premier RDS model in the industry and is still a great business
today.
